The uncontrolled wild fires burning near here have now burnt an area bigger that the whole of Prince Edward Island.......

Still burning? The first few days, the fire was being covered by the BBC, but no mention of it in the last few days.

The only blessing, I suppose, is that there aren't many population centres in the area.

Still Burning Out of Control....... Have a family staying in my house and another in motor home in yard...... Over 100,000 people out of their homes.......

Have checked the latest news, and it seems as though folk will, hopefully, be able to return to Fort McMurray soon. But there'll need to be an awful lot of rebuilding before everyone can return, I'd have thought.
Thank you for helping those in need, Mike. I'm sure you were able to take them to visit the Military Museums.

I wonder how long it will take for nature to heal the scars left by the fire? The wildlife must have been decimated. A very sad situation.
