David - All the names on the Manchesters tablet should also be on the memorial in St. Ann's Square. Certainly all the units you mention have names on the memorial.

If this is the same man, H C Darlington served as a Lieutenant in the 1st VB of the Manchester Regiment.

Henry Clive Darlington is probably the son of Henry. As Major H C Darlington CMG, he was KIA in France, 6 August 1915.
