The surname never 'clicked' with me! He may be very distantly related to you, David. For example, everyone with the surnames Bloor and Blore, and all other variations, are supposed to have a common ancestor. The surname Wigglesworth originated from the village of the same name in Yorkshire (but since moved into Lancashire through boundary changes).

Berenice
Having a quick trawl through my IY and Cavalry CDs, I note the following:
"36895 Tpr. F. Biggins, IY"
"1932 Cpl. C. Biggins, 11th Coy., 3rd IY"
"3423 Tptr. J.H.Biggins, 1st Dragoons"
Distant relations, possibly?
Best regards
IL.

Very possibly. My immediate relatives served in the two World Wars, one earning a DSM in the Great War.
