....Capt. De C. Moody, who was born at Bournemouth on the 8th February, 1864, joined the 2nd Battalion 24th Regiment (South Wales Borderers) on the 25th August, 1883, as second lieutenant. He subsequently saw considerable foreign service in India, Burmah, &c., and wears the medal and clasps for the Burmese expeditions of 1885-7 and 1887-89. He was married on the 15th January, 1895, to Miss F. Deigbton, of London. He left Brecon in December of last year to join General Clements' staff as aide-de-camp. During his stay at Brecon he took the greatest interest in sport, and rode regularly to the Breconshire Harriers. He was also one of the main supporters of the annual athletic sports of the Depot South Wales Borderers.

THE LATE CAPTAIN MOODY.
....Captain Henry C. Moody, of the South Wales Borderers, who was aide-de-camp to General Clements, is reported among the killed at Nooitgedacht. He was a son of the late Major-general R. C. Moody, R.E., of Woodfield, Weston-Under-Penyard, near Ross, and was only 36 years of age.

I walked 8ΒΌ miles on Sunday to get those two photos. Very enjoyable walk.

Captain Moody is named on the county memorial in Hereford Cathedral.
