I was not to sure which section to post this thread, but it does contains memorial photos so here goes.
I always scan ebay for interesting lots and this one I won and received in the post yesterday.
The contents were listed as Anglo Boer War centenary brochures and pamphlets.
Pictures are below, included among them some nice reading.
It is obvious a collection someone put together on a visit at the time, I was really pleased to find a set of original photographs that had been taken.
These are of Spion Kop and headstones, I assume the photographer had some connection with the R.E. most of the fallen men are from that Corps.
There is also a photo of what I assume to be a Blockhouse? and also a railway siding? if anyone can add any information to these I would be grateful.
I am hoping my theory that the main pics are of Spion Kop, having never been there these photos will probably be the closest I get.
I hope they are some interest to the forum, as always any comments gratefully received.
