I saw the Tower poppies on TV earlier this evening. Only the Brits can put on something like that! Wish I could have seen it in person.

I was very proud this week on reading about a group of Glenwood High School (my old high school) boys including the Head Boy visiting Stellawood Cemetery last weekend, they placed a poppy on every military grave marker...well done guys!

Stellawood is the largest cemetery in Durban and there are many military graves there, mostly from the two World Wars.

That is an impressive and moving piece of artwork at the Tower. I do agree with the sentiment that the art installation should not be permanent such is life.
