I am changing the forum this morning to fix an error with editing user profiles.

This may mean the forum is unpredictable for a while.

I will let you know when this work is complete.

It might be a case of two steps forward and one step back.

The forum theme and forum have both been updated this morning.  That should resolve the issue of not being able to modify the user profile (eg changing the avatar) and also provides another fix to the problem of not being able to edit past posts.

One the other hand, the forum may be open again to spam bot replies to existing posts.  If this happens, I have a solution to try.  We'll see what happens.

On the home page, new posts in the main forum on the left of the screen, appear to also be duplicated on the right side of the screen in the "Other South African Conflicts" section.

I'm not sure why that is.  Looking at that now ...

Having spent a couple of hours trying to understand why that component was not working correctly, I deleted it, recreated it and it has started performing correctly again.

I don't think there are any remaining issues after this morning's 'quick update'

Three further changes to the three 'latest posts' areas:

1.  When you click on a post, all three areas now take you to the last post in that thread
2.  I have removed the user hyperlink
3.  The number of most recent posts now extends to 8
