Berenice has made a significant contribution to military and family history through the different strands of her work. This site has been enriched considerably by Berenice's work on monuments to the men and women of the Boer war and the sometimes difficult return to civilian life after the war as recorded in newspapers from across the country.
Excellent photographs are always accompanied by accurate transcriptions of all names found, an enormous help to anyone searching the web for relatives.
It is not surprising that Berenice is one of the most thanked contributors to the site. This thank you joins the 1,000 others that users have left.
I have certainly enjoyed looking at the superb photography of the memorials and monuments in the numerous posts over the last few years, the effort and lengths often gone to never fail to impress and it is reassuring to see such a level of dedication to the subject even in these strange times.
