A notable feature of the forum when someone posts a request for information is that they are very likely to receive a very fast reply from Dave containing useful information, links and often images of service papers, genealogical records etc. Dave's tenacity in research means he often uncovers research before and after the Boer War period which enriches and broadens the original search request.

We are very fortunate on the forum to have a number of highly skilled and very helpful members who are contributing to a wealth of information spread across a large number of posts.

It is no wonder that Dave has been acknowledged for his many contributions by his 1,000th thankyou and I would like to add to that my appreciation for all the help, support and guidance he provides to the forum and its members.
