All that rebinding must have cost you a fortune ;)

Where do I buy the Kimberley and Talana books?

Good Morning David.....

A friend who is an antiquarian book dealer had to do an estate disposal of a library like that and stated that he estimated that at least 60% of the books had never been opened or read.....

He optained for me the bound copies of the Graphic for 1900 and 1901......

Speaking of books not opened or read .....

Library shelves reveal a great deal about the owner of the books so, if I can, I like to spent time looking at book titles in homes that I visit, or, as in this case, in deciphering photographs posted on websites. I once visited a house as a babysitter and found an amazing variety of text books, all in pristine condition, filling many shelves. The collection was impressive enough to warrant mention to colleagues the following day. It turned out that the home owner was on the editorial board of the University of Chicago Press and the books in his home were all complimentary copies. Admiration turned to something else .....

Regards
Brett

I am feeling guilty now about posting that picture of a library yesterday but would like to defend myself on the basis of the date it was posted.

Apologies for my gross misrepresentation.

PS The ISS also seems to have stopped viewing the site (along with everyone else's).

No apology needed! I thought it looked like Mycroft Holmes's library in any case. Perhaps the sight of all those copies of your books in different places was overwhelming? If so, keep writing, please.
