Wow....when I posted my enquiry I really wasn't expecting such a wonderful response.

Thank you for sharing this information with me.

I was delighted to receive details from Ryan and Adrian but to discover that my Uncle is recognised on memorials here in UK is such a bonus and I intend to pay a visit to view them in person when I can.

I do appreciate so much the help I have received and look forward to sharing this with my dad.

Hello Fiona,
If you are going to march up Coombe Hill, do pick a nice day, the views are remarkable, on a clear day you can see the dome of St Paul's in the city.
I can also recommend the historic Red Lion in Wendover if staying over, get yourself into room nine, where Oliver Cromwell addressed his officers on occasion during the Civil War.
