Hi Phil,

Unable to find anything on Find my Past like yourself.
The only variable surname I could find was J.Timperley
www.angloboerwar.com/name-search
Do not have access to Ancestry any more so unable to search rolls.
Good luck with your further research.

Paul :)

Cheers Paul
I have Ancestry but nothing to be found not even a search of the WW1 series must be one of those chaps who dont want to be find is it unusual not to be on the medal roll for the unit he served

Phil,

I have had a subscription with Ancestry for a few years but this year could not justify the £107 renewal.
I have found in the past when searching the medal rolls to keep trying.
If I could not find by the obvious surname search I would then go into the Regiment and go through each page.
It can be a little laborious but sometimes I found what I was searching for.
For example the name could be completely wrong, initial or surname or the service number could be incorrect.
Don't give up, its worth a try ;)

Cheers
Paul :)

Paul
you are correct I have found this with other searches the only thing which worries me is such an unusual surname it's definitely not a Shropshire name

Hello Phil

A good mystery, I've got nothing to help unfortunately.

Presumably the naming is good?
