In my "old" collection there was a QSA named to "156 Tpr. S. Gascoigne Eastn: Prov. Horse" with clasps Cape Colony and Orange Free State. SAFF has an entry for him as "Wounded, Heilbron, 7th June 1900. Accidentally". In those days, it was difficult to research the background of recipients; however some time later the distinct possibility arose that Tpr S.Gascoigne became a local identity on the cricket scene.

IL.

For me to find any details on any of my recipients is a red letter day. So I have "decided" that the photo in the "Adelaide Observer" is my man. This is based on the fact that my Hajee Khan has a single clasp "Cape Colony" and the other  has the "Orange Free State" clasp in addition. So odds are Hajee (2) was not in the Cape at the time.
I have now stretched even further with the discovery of this  …...

With Hajee Khan(1)'s experience at the Maitland Remount Station, I have "decided" that he was an obvious choice to accompany Lieut. Williams to Persia.

Luckily the Winter Solace is next week and I intend heading down here...….

Can anyone recommend a range of crystals, auras etc that might assist in confirming that this is my man?

Yours in frustration
Looking for Salutries, Salootries and Veterinary Duffadars.
I collect primarily QSAs to Indian Recipients.
