Hello Capt. Biggins,
I’m Capt. (ret.) Warren Bruce Abbott now living in Canada. I am searching for all information regarding the shipments of fodder from India to your part of the world during the Boer wars.
GF John Harold Abbott was instrumental in shipping large quantities of baled hay and our family, then in India, have very little knowledge of these events.
Your knowledge in these matters is sincerely requested, would you please help me in this effort?

No much. 2600 tons shipped from India by January 1900, 1800 tons sourced from Australia because of the late arrival of the monsoon. Was Abbot OBE in 1919 and from Jhansi in United Provinces?

Yes, Capt. John Harold Abbott, O.B.E. V.D. lived in Jhansi, U.P. India for most of his life but died and is buried in Abbott Mount, Kumon Hills, India. I found his grave site some 20 years ago but the whole cemetery is in poor condition. His head stone had fallen apart so I put the pieces together as best as I could using my feet to do so, too many scorpions and snakes to be using ones hands.

Following up on the very valuable information that you have already provided to me would you please send me the documentation where this information came from? I would like to paste this info into the Abbott Family Tree on the page reserved for Capt. John Harold Abbott.
I was going to just paste in this e mail message as being the sole source of info but then again any one could type up an fictitious article, hence my inquiry.
Thanking you in advance
