You have two medals because members of your family took good care of them, you are lucky, so many were pawned/sold/stolen/lost and so on, Sergeant Godfrey had two medals because of his service actually in South Africa during the war itself entitled him to both.

I'm from the Easter cape in SA [Uitenhage] ,62 yrs old and ABW & the cape rebels is my interest. In particular those that's graves are 'missing'.
They were treated like scum , sum even hanged on a windmill , sum as young as 16 yrs.!
