Mike and others interested
I have seen several of those walking-out/swagger sticks over the years; a couple on e***. The ones I have noted have had the butt-end capped with a solid drawn .45" Martini Henry fired case; that case pierced and either a 7mm Mauser round (or a .303" round) soldered in place to make a "T". The tip of some swagger sticks have had a metal ferrule. Others have had a .303" round with the base (i.e., rim) filed off. The headstamps of the rounds used to make these swagger sticks are invariably from the period of the Boer War.
Just the thing for walking out and cutting a figure!
