Further to my last post I have discovered a note book left in my father's papers which itemises John Watson's medals! This confirms they were his and gives the places/campaigns as follows:

Victoria:- Orange Free State, Paardeberg(?), Wittebergen, Transvaal and Cape Colony.
Edward VII:- South Africa 1901 and 1902.

Would each of these be awarded a clasp?

The clasps listed by you under "Victoria" were issued for the Queens South Africa Medal; those listed under "Edward VII" were issued for the King's South Africa Medal.
HOWEVER, due to certain qualifications, one could not receive "Orange Free State" as a clasp in company with "Paardeburg" and "Wittebergen" (and a couple of others). Except by mistake, of course.
The note book referred to might contain the QSA clasps John Watson assumed he was to receive.

IL.
