I have only just bought this two bar medal and I guess I will see it in about 2 weeks if all goes well. It is the highest ranked QSA I have ever owned and was wondering if anybody had a photo of his grave or knew exactly where he was buried. I expect to be able to get tons of research on him and started today by buying a new printer cartridge in anticipation.

Wow, thanks for your two posts-pity about the headstone being broken at some stage but somebody has at least re-erected it and for the picture of the badge-something I will have to keep my eyes open for. I now have two Officer casualties buried in the same cemetery-I am sure you posted a picture of Lt A. Lascelles grave when I made a post of that.

I received the medal today and am delighted with it-beautifully engraved in the Officer style. It also came with every London Gazette entry in his career. He was only promoted to Lt. Col about 3 weeks before he died- he is buried in the President Bland Cemetery in Bloemfontein where my other Officer casualty Lt Alfred Lascelles is buried.
