Thanks Paul the Durham Cathedral Chapel dedicated to the DLI fallen is in my back yard
and I am quite familiar with it, my research is looking at overseas war memorials that perhaps
not on the record.

Very grateful for this as a background to what I am looking for, my own GGF was with the 3rd DLI (Militia) Battalion from December 1899 and they lost 29 Officers and men during their tour of duty.
Even though his record shows he qualified for his QSA as far as I am aware he never received it.

Thanks very much Maurig, I will double check this information with what I have.
I am looking at this project worldwide not only the DLI but the earlier roots of the Durham Light Infantry, the 68th Regt of Foot, 2nd Bombay Regt, 106th Bombay Regt, Durham Militia and Volunteer Battalions.
This is potentially a very big project spanning service from the West Indies, America, Spain, France, the Crimea, New Zealand and Korea thankfully I am not on my own.
