1899 Levy's Kiosk at Delagoa Bay, Lourenço Marques. General Hutton and wife (Eleanor Mary Paulet?) seated at the left. At the centre table is S. Marks and F. Pincus, Reuters special war correspondent. Standing to the left is C A Stammers (sp? Stamners). Photo by Eric Jeffrey Hill.

1899 Notice board at Levy's Kiosk at Delagoa Bay, Lourenço Marques, Photo by J & M. Lazarus photographers.

Assuming Hill's inscription of 'Hutton' refers to General Hutton, then Hill may have made an error with the date of the photo, as records appear to indicate that Hutton arrived in March 1900 from Southampton on the SS Tantallon Castle.
