Ranikhet New Cemetery
Ranikhet, Uttarakhand, India
www.findagrave.com
Ranikhet is a hill station and cantonment town in Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the home for the Military Hospital, Kumaon Regiment (KRC) and Naga Regiment and is maintained by the Indian Army.
There are 20 British and Commonwealth war graves here-all from the Great War period . Not sure if they are KSLI (1903). Looks like there are only 4 graves entered on the site and are attributed to the Bedfords, Buffs, Irish Rifles and Black Watch. If you have the names of the KSLI soldiers you can use the site to search and see if there is a match. Good luck.

I have done some research on 2nd Battalion KSLI in India in 1903 and found that the battalion left Durban on 10th January 1903 on SS Syria.
When the Syria arrived in Bombay on 23rd January 1903 the men disembarked and proceeded to Deolali transit camp arriving on 25th. On 29th January the battalion left for Bareilly arriving on 3rd
February. On 10th February one company of the battalion left with 3 officers went to Ranikhet to
take over the barracks there from the 1st Battalion Devonshire Regiment. The rest of the battalion
followed later. On 23rd July 1903 an outbreak of cholera occurred at Ranikhet and within 20 days the
battalion had lost 1 officer, 16 men and one boy. To stop the epidemic from spreading the battalion
was broken up and they went into segregation camps in the hills. On 20th November the battalion
was recombined at Ranikhet and left for Bareilly. Enroute, they took part in hill manoeuvres with the
1st Battalion Devonshire Regiment and the Gurkhas. In March 1904 they returned to Ranikhet where
they remained for most of the rest of the year taking part in hill manoeuvres in October.
It mentions the death of 16 men, 1 Officer and one boy in Ranikhet.
Hope this is of interest
