Actually - I am looking at a photo of him published with the article in the Ex-Service Notes in the Evening Despatch on 5 April 1952 and I am pretty sure that he could be the chap on the left with the cap and glasses. If I'm able to upload the picture from the newspaper you may agree.

Have attached the full page containing your 1952 article - don't understand why my original search did not find it except search engines are like me, imperfect.

Also the article itself - not sure which of "my" photos you are referring to.

Thank you for putting that article on. If I don’t always respond it’s just that I don’t find this a very easy site to use. But I’m extremely grateful to all of you who’ve given me the info and the pictures of my grandads medals. I might get used to it and find my way around. But Thank you all.
