Hi

Have just come across a book called the story of the imperial light horse. Which was published in 1937. The book has been signed by all the warrant officers and sergeants who were still alive in 1937. Just trying to find out when they might have served. Eg one of the names is W Dean RSM. Does anyone know who this might have been?

Best Regards

Duncan

This photograph shows the R.S.M. and senior N.C.O.'s of "F" Squadron, 1st I.L.H., taken during the siege of Ladysmith. It may depict some of your signatories. Unfortunately, the men are not named.

This is a photograph of RSM Dean - from a group photograph of some South Africans who attended the 1937 Coronation.

Hi there. What a discovery! Would the book have a signature that looks "Hufton"
My grandfather and 2 brothers were in the same regiment.
Kindest regards

Hi Sandra and Duncan
Great find and hope you have photos of your relations and can identify them in the photo.
Being only about 90 years ago, a genealogical enthusiast could probably locate some descendants with all the info on Ancestry and FMP.
Look forward to hearing about what might yet be found
Clive
