Hello again! What was the role / responsibilities of a bandsman? Where might I find the papers from 1893-1896, I have not come across them. Thanks!

I have a record from "Findmypast" that shows he joined the Highland Light Infantry August 17, 1889.
I assumed that you have his service papers

Hello!
My grandmother was Eva Galloway, oldest daughter of Moncrief. She married Roderick Mitchell. My mother was their youngest daughter Beverly. I have been trying to find specifics about Moncrief's military service. We may be 2nd cousins? I live in Oregon.
