The article is "Extracts from a Subaltern's South African Diary". It is by Lt (at the time of writing) FE Walter or 2 Bn, Norfolk Regt.

You can access, free of charge, readable but thoroughly watermarked copies of the first two installments through the OgilbyTrust. Its been a year or two since I last checked but if I recall rightly you search for "Britannia", which is the Norfolk's regimental journal. You need March 1930 vol 7 pages 62-64; Autumn 1930 vol 8, pages 53-55.

Parts 3 and 4 (March 1931 vol 9 pages 68-69, Autumn 1931 vol 10 pages 61-62) are attached. These were made from my copies of the journal.

Ian is correct.
If you read about the attack on Twin Peaks in the Times History (Vol 3 Ch X p 276) it states that
The 60th Rifles … swung round for the attack, the right half battalion, under Colonel Buchanan-Riddell, making for the eastern, and the left, under Major Bewicke-Copley, for the western of the Twin Peaks.
The map in Maurice shows Companies A - D (the R half battalion) attacked the eastern peak and Companies E- H (the L half battalion) attacked the western peak.

The past is not dead. In fact, it's not even past.
