Hello, Greeting from San Antonio, Texas. My name is John Fitzgerald and I am new to collecting British Medals. I wouldn't say that I had an active interest in the Boar War up until I recently picked up my first QSA medal and starting researching it. My primary collecting interest is WWI & II US groupings. However, I looking forward to broaden my horizons and learning more about this conflict and the units and men that served.

Best,
John

Welcome John! We will have to see if we can tempt you more into this period of history.

What was it that made you buy your first QSA?

Best wishes
David

Hi David,

Thanks for the wecloming. I found it in an antique store in San Antonio and thought it was a smart looking medal and priced right at $200 USD.

I've had an interest in Commonwealth medals since my mother is Canadian and I have some of my uncles WWII Medals, but I found it to be a bit on the expensive side, compared to the US Medals I collect.

I posted the QSA here: angloboerwar.com/forum/5-medals-and-awar...perial-yeomanry#5877

Best,
John

Hi Again John.....

Yes Commonwealth medals can be a bit more expensive but the research opportunities are greater and you can trace them to an specific man....
