Richard is pretty good, he can help with NZ related matters better than most people!
Are you actually in New Zealand? wish I was, would'nt be moving piles of snow! :(

I'm not clear on the status of documents such as attestation papers and service papers for NZ soldiers in the Boer War?

Mmm. NZ sun vs UK snow. I know which I would choose right now too!

Frank and djb,
Thanks. I have just sent a note to request the assistance of Richard.
I am in SE NSW, Australia in the proximity of current bushfires but not directly threatened presently unlike a lot of other good folk. Sorry about your similarly unhelpful met conditions.
regards
M

Frank and djb,
Richard provided timely and comprehensive advice to clear up one aspect of my query-there is no trace of my relatives Fletcher Francis Roberts and/or Alban Joseph Roberts in the NZ records. They do not appear in the Aus records either at least to this unskilled researcher. Richard suggests that they might have proceeded to SA and joined there, a possibility beyond my capacity to research.
I am most grateful for your assistance with this. Thank you.
Regards
