Good Morning Everyone.....

I have seen one of these before, about 6 months ago there was one on ebay.....

It sold for just over 450 pounds.....

The description stated that these pins were given to members of the fund raising committee and were worn by the nurses onboard the Maine.....

That's great. I have a QSA to one if the ten original American orderlies who sailed out with the Maine but have never seen anything like you have.

I had a quick look on eBay but didn't find anything. Will check again.

I will also look for some pictures of nurses from the ship.

I looked also most likely deleated but if I remember rightly it was damaged and some of the enamel was missing.....

It may have been removed. I think there is a limit of 90 days for completed listings.

I know there is picture of the nurses in The Graphic. Just not sure of the date.

Is there any chance of a name?

I have two chaps who served on the Maine, Ord Howard, SJAB and Sgt. Maj. How (MID) RAMC.
They both went on from S.A. to receive a China.

I am always on the scrounge for information on the S.S. Maine.
