A bugle carried by a member of the 2nd Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment during the Boer War, with maker’s marks for ‘George Potter & Co. Aldershot’, the brass collar engraved ‘Carried by Hildyard’s Brigade 2nd Ryl West Surrey Rgt. at Colenso Cingolo Monte Cristo Allemans Nek 1899-1900’, with numerous dents, some severe, and the brass collar having moved out of place, relic condition
