I’m starting to consolidate my research into surviving SJAB South Africa medals with a dedicated website www.sjab-sa-medals.info . I think I’ve finally established there were 1769 bronze medals issued to men who went to SA as SJAB 83 who were enlisted into the RAMC, 15 at the inaugural investiture and 40 for home service, making a total of 1907.
