Rory,

I think he was wounded at Elandslaagte in April 1900.

The SALH nominal roll offers no information and I have yet to find him on the SALH QSA roll.

The number 1094 belongs to SQMS J N Ayrer but he was court martialled, discharged with ignominy and refused a medal.

Frank Snowden's number of 1049 not 1094.

His QSA (3) is verified on WO100/274p107

But still no Elandslaagte clasp? If he wounded there he must have qualified for and been awarded the clasp.
