Q&E state 'Percy Francis Ella of the Queenstown District Mounted Troops is confirmed on the medal roll, although the roll suggests he is only properly entitled to the Modder River clasp. Clasp entitlement not confirmed.'

There is a Percy Ella listed for the SAGS while serving in the Queenstown Volunteer Contingent.
