Hello All -

Maybe of interest is that Capt Soundy's medals just sold, being included in a lot of family medals and other ephemera for in excess of (ZAR) R22 000.00.
Very handsome pair of medals ...

"comprising: a Queens South Africa Medal with eight clasps, each inscribed Wittebergen, Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Driefontein, Paardeberg, Modder River, Belmont and Relief of Kimberley’ respectively, impressed ‘503 SJT R.H.SOUNDY W. PROV M.R’; A Kings South Africa Medal, with two clasps, each inscribed ‘South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902’respectively, impressed ‘CAPT. R. H. SOUNDY BSHMNLND:BORD"

I had a long hard look at these medals, they came with 10kg of ephemera including two photo albums. Too much to post to the UK.
