Another senior moment .........

I meant to add to the record of the Wynn father and daughter that there was also a son/brother. He served in the Natal Mounted Rifles in North Africa and Italy during World War II. He was killed in an air crash while being repatriated from Italy after the war ended. I do not have his medals**, but I did have a studio photo portrait of him that his sister had kept framed and displayed until her death. I passed it on to the local NMR expert.
** His medals were 39/45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, Africa Service Medal

I have just remembered another father/son pair:

FATHER

Although Hope's QSA was named to the Natal Carbineers, during 1899/1900 he served successively in the Natal Government Railways (Bridge Guards), Colonial Scouts, Natal Carbineers & Commander-in-Chiefs Bodyguard, the last named for only 13 days.

SON
Tpr T W Hope, Imperial Light Horse
QSA (R of Mafeking, Elandslaagte, DoL, Tvl)
Also entitled to OFS and SA01 clasps.
