Together with two named S.R.V. shooting medals, silver and enamels, hallmarked Birmingham 1910 and 1912, (Bushtick Rifle Coy, Quarterly Medal 1912 S.S.M. E. A. Booth) and (Bushtick Rifle Coy, Quarterly Medal 1912 S.S.M. E. A. Booth).

Alan Purser served with the Colonial Scouts (Mooi River detachment), January to March 1900, then with the Imperial Light Horse as Farrier Sergeant, 14 March to 15 November 1900.
