This is basically for QSAMIKE but others are welcome to jump in and give an opinion. On EBAY.US is a QSA clasps CC,OFS,BF (item 3723088114630) named to 228 PTE C.O.De Lisle R.CANDN D.GDS. The medal looks ok no obvious signs of skimming but the naming looks irregular-could be the photography which is not great in the naming dept. Now I have never handedd a Canadian QSA[/Australian ones yes Canadian ones no. Just interested in an opinion. The same dealer has a welcome home badge listed as well -over to you guys

Just found him on the medal roll the bars are correct but the service number is 226 not 228 that I thought

Damn. was hoping that no one else had seen it....... Yes it is good...... The error with the number happens often for some reason...... The welcome home medal is the official one but it is in-named...... All of these given to returning members had their names on them but the general public could buy them..... Then again the dates on the medal are good...... He may not have gotten a named one as he was Invalided home with Acute Gastroenteritis in March of 1901.......

He is not on the medal roll for the 1901 so he may have already been on his way home via England as the he was classified as Invalided in Canada at Halifax....... There is no record of him applying for the bar either in his records......
