IGS 1895 (1) Punjab Frontier 1897-98 (3456 Corpl T. S. Vicary 1st Bn Devon Regt.);
QSA (2) Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith (3456 Pte T. S. Vicary. Devon: Regi.).

T S Vicary died of Enteric Fever at Pietermaritzbug, South Africa on 17 April 1900 with the rank of Lance-Sergeant.

Described as:

Pair: QSA, 4 clasps, CC, OFS, Trans, L Nek, ghost dates just visible (engraved 1970 Pte W Lythall, 2/ Dorset Rgt); KSA, both date clasps (impressed 1970 Pte W Lythall Dorset Regt) EF, with photocopies confirming clasps and giving much service detail (enlisted July 1885, served throughout Boer War; March 1915 enlisted into 25th Bn (Frontiersmen) RF and served in Africa for nearly a year before being invalided. Transferred to King’s Shropshire LI and finally discharged October 1917 aged nearly 48, Lythall also entitled to 1914-15 star trio and war badge.
