QSA (5) Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (33813 Tpr: S. Telfer. Scottish Horse.)

Stephen Telfer attested into the Scottish Horse and served in South Africa with the 1st Battalion during the Boer War where he was discharged on 21 July 1901. He attested into the Rand Rifles three days later, and, after his discharge, re-attested with them for further service on 24 April 1902.

QSA (5) Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (26086 Serjt. F. J. Rogers. Scottish Horse),

M&E say Frederick James Rogers of Strood, Kent, served with the 2nd Company Scottish Horse and is confirmed on the medal roll. He was discharged at Johannesburg on 25 June, 1902.
