Together with three medals renamed to the Marquis De Bucy, BSA Co's Medal for Rhodesia 1896, Cape General Service (1) Bechuanaland and AGS 1902 (1) Somaliland 1902-04

Major Sergius Mortimer Emmanuel Rouault De Longueville, 11th Marquis De Bucy served in the South African.War, 1899-1902 as Adjutant and Major in command of mounted troops; temporarily employed with Australian Military Forces, 1910-14, on H.Q. Staff 1st Australian Division Egypt , 1914; in Command Australian Base, Egypt, 1915 and Australian and New Zealand Base, December, 1915; attached to French Army, Verdun, 1916; Ministry of Munitions, 1917-19; Grandee of Spain.

QSA (4) Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, South Africa 1902 (646 Corpl: K. McLean. Johannesburg M.R.), minor correction to number and rank.

Kenneth McLean was born at Inverness, Scotland in 1860 and was a carpenter upon his joining Prince Alfred's Volunteer Guard Mounted Infantry as Private, Regimental No. 785. He then served with the Johannesburg Mounted Rifles, enlisting on 16 January 1901 at Port Elizabeth.

1914-15 Star (34 Sergt. A. Annett R.C.D.) renamed;
British War and Victory Medals (34 A-Sjt. A. Annett. 16-Can. Inf.)

Together with C.E.F. overseas service lapel badge and 3 others.

Trying to discover his true entitlement.

Arthur Annett was born c 1871. He earned the Transvaal clasp with the JMR, serving with them for 6 months to 25 October 1901. He also served in the Queenstown Rifle Volunteers for 3 months and, at near the end of the War, with the Orange River Scouts (55 Trooper) (WO100/253p109). He earned OFS, SA01 and SA02 with the Orange River Scouts (WO100/263p36).

He was 29 when he attested for the Orange River Scouts on 1 April 1902. English, he listed his trade as gentleman. 5'8", he had a pale complexion, grey eyes and dark hair. He was unmarried. His next of kin was his mother who lived in King William's Town.
