The slouch hat badge to the SAMIF is said to be extremely rare - it is discussed here
www.britishbadgeforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46744
and here
www.britishbadgeforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86072
I have copied the images from those threads to show here, hope nobody minds!

Dear Forum members.

I am looking for confirmation on the clasp entitlement to a Lieutenant of the South African Mounted Irregular Forces. I believe he was entitled to a Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal plus 1901 clasp. I am having difficulty locating the Transvaal entitlement.

My man is - Lieutenant - Thomas Edward Shakeshaft Davies.

As always, your help is very much appreciated

Regards

Dave......
