QSA (2) Cape Colony, South Africa 1901 (1135 Pte. M. Noonan. Kaffrn: Rifles)

Michael Noonan is recorded as a 'Rider' and 'Shooter', who was specially acquainted with 'Port Elizabeth, Humansdorp, Graaff-Reinet, and Cradock'. As well as serving with the Kafferian Rifles, he is recorded as having joined Gorringe’s Flying Column on 21 January 1901, before being discharged on 18 May 1901.

Not traced to the Boer War. There is a man 604 Staff Sergeant A T Dryburgh who also served as Captain, MMR.

QSA (4) Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901 (1295 Pte. R. Baldwin. Kaffrn: Rifles)

Described as: R. Baldwin of the Kaffrarian Rifles is confirmed on the medal rolls, the medal was issued 17 December 1912 and forwarded to his brother in Maidenhead, Berkshire. He is listed in ‘The Boer War Casualty Roll’ by Palmer as being slightly wounded on two occasions: firstly at Witkopjes 29 November 1900, and secondly near Jamestown 7 May 1901.
