QSA (4) Cape Colony, Rhodesia (copy), Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (318 Sejt A. H. Press, Victorian M.R.) Impressed. Clasps loose on ribbon and with an extra South Africa 1902 clasp.

Ex Sid Thurgar Collection.

Alfred Howard Press, 4 Victorian Imperial Contingent; Embarked 01 May 1900; RTA 12 Jul 1901; also served with Victorian 2 Battalion Australian Commonwealth Horse; Embarked 12 Feb 1902; RTA 02 Aug 1902 and discharged as Lieutenant.

Noble Numismatics state 'With copy of Medal Rolls showing entitlement to clasps for Belmont, Cape Colony, Rhodesia, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902.'

The is another example of the 'Belmont roll problem'. Given he embarked for South Africa in May 1900, he would not have been able to participate at Balmont.
