Hello Mike,
Yes, I know, I have researched this man before, some of the memoranda between the TF in Lichfield and the CO of that 75mm AA battery does indeed make for interesting reading!
Regards Frank

Hello Mike,
I don't think the naming on the QSA matters too much, you have him shown on the medal roll and that would be enough for me, though, of course, it is always nice to see them with the phase 1pdr Pom Pom on them!
Moreover, I do like the 37mm 1Pdr, you know it was originally rejected by the War Office, on cost grounds! :(
On the other hand, Kuger and the ZAR were awash with money, so the cost of its use was not a problem, six shillings and sixpence per shell, over forty eight pounds per minute! :woohoo: :woohoo:
I want one!
Best Regards Frank

Would it be worth mentioning to Santa?

Hello Mike

I wasn't doubting his service with pom-poms (this is celar from the medal rolls) just wondering aloud why his medal isn't named to that unit - whereas others are.

Is there a reason or is it a whim of medal issuing authorities?
