Good afternoon David,
I would bid if I were you, its not the best example, but, it is also not expensive either, nothing ventured nothing gained!
I assume the roll is part of WO100/301, have never done a head count.
Regards Frank

Morning Frank,

The auction ends tomorrow so I have considered a bid but I think I will let this one go and look for a better example.

You are correct that the roll can be found within that for the FID which is a little strange. I feel it should sit elsewhere but I'm not sure where.

The rank column for the men like Honnet makes for interesting reading:

Best wishes

Hi David,
I agree with you the condition is not great, but for that sort of money I really don't thing you can go wrong.
I don't use ebay to buy medals and I very seldom even bother to look at it.
Regards Frank

Just to wrap up this thread for now at least and to say that the disc sold for £76 in the end.

I take it your cash has remained in its wallet then?

It did. I was tempted but will wait for a less damaged FID QSA to come along.

A few years ago, I purchased some discs to South African units in a Kaplan auction but these have not yet been reconstructed to their original condition. I would like to do that one day soon.

David
