I recently acquired a QSA missing its clasps awarded to 14236 Tpr. F. Chudleigh, Damant's Horse. There is also an attempted erasure, but as you can see from the photos, the number, part of the name and the regiment are still left enabling positive identification.
Here's the information from this site. It indicates that he was a member of Rimington's Guides, but as the nominal roll includes men from both units, it would seem this is an error as he joined Damant's Horse in 1902, well after Rimington's Guides were shifted into Damant's Horse.

Here is what I've found out via ancestry sites about Frank Chudleigh.
Born: January 1875; Baptised 26 March 1875 at St. Thomas (by Launceston). RC – Father Emanuel (1844) born N. Petherwin, Devon) was a farmer, Mother Susanna Hodge (1848) born in Tetcott, Devon).
Address: Poultry Court Farm, Werrington (Devon), Launceston, Devon & Cornwall, England
1881 Census - scholar 6 years old with Sister Ellen, born 1877; brother Arthur born 1878 St. Launceston, Cornwall, England
1891 Census - Frank was 16 and a grocer’s apprentice; address Park Lanson, St. Stephens, Launceston, Cornwall, England
Chudleigh served for five (5) months as an agent in Field Intelligence Dept. and then joined Damant’s Horse in Kimberley on 15 February 1902 (No Trace on pay lists). Entitled to CC, OFS and TR clasps. At the time he joined Damant's Horse, he was 26 years old and 5’6” tall and weighed 112 Lbs. He also had dark hair & brown eyes with a dark complexion.
Was he entitled to the SA-01 and/or SA-02 claps? Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks very much in advance. John
