Walt1010,

If you contact Michael Kaplan, he may be able to forward our email to the purchaser.

I would use both of these addresses: [email protected] and [email protected] .

Good luck!
David

The owner of the Stevens group is on the forum. Send me a message and I can see what I can do. You will find collectors don't always want to engage with families as there can be drama, so it depends on what you are looking for here.

He won the VC during the Boer War. This officer with five men was holding the right of position at Vlakfontein on 3rd July 1901. During an attack by the Boers two of his men were killed and two wounded. The position was still held largely owing to Lt English personal pluck. When the ammunition ran short, he went over to the next position and obtained more. To do this he had to cross 15 yds of open ground under a heavy fire at a range of 20 to 30 yards. At the end of the war he went to the UK and received the decoration from the Price of Wales the Coronation parade on 1 July 1902.

Thank you. I'm a descendant of the Stevens and I'm interested in purchasing the set. Failing that I'd like a photograph. Never fear, no drama!

Regards
Walter Stevens
