Dear all,
I have removed the last two comments on this topic and locked the topic form further changed. The reason for taking this action is because a person's work was being criticised very publicly and that person has no way to defend themselves.
Drawing attention to the deficiencies in published works is acceptable but this needs to be done in a way that will not cause offence or hurt.
