Hello Mike,
I realised today that perhaps I had not made myself clear on this, Reverend James Macleod appears to be a Presbytarian acting 4th class Army Chaplain, attached to the 2nd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, I did see a very obvious, perhaps, a far too obvious match, he might have been born in 1863 in Kilmarnock Ayrshire.

If you were to take this matter forward I think I would speak to the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, before doing anything else.
