Hi Mike, I was very interested to read the post concerning Doctor William Grierson Joynt. As a medal collector and family genealogist I have a great interested in medals named to Joynt. I have William Grierson Joynt's father's medal pair in my collection named to Surgeon General Christopher Joynt IMS. He received the IGS 1854 "Persia" and the Abyssinia Medal. I also have his nephew's Egypt pair named to Major Edward Hearne Joynt RAMC and his nephew's First War pair, Captain Oswald Joynt Australian Medical Corps. I saying this, if you ever decide to part with this QSA I would love to hear from you. I have attached a link to his family tree where you will find a photograph I upload of his father, Christopher Joynt.
All the best, Kevin Joynt

Also, here is the link to an article I wrote about his father. It also appeared in Medal News Magazine back in the 1990's. www.ancestry.ca/boards/thread.aspx?mv=tr...=60&p=surnames.joynt
