Thank you Frank

Would those papers be at Kew?

I cannot give up yet - I've already discovered my Grandparents were never married (Grandma married someone else a year after their supposed wedding)and within 2 years of that Grandparents were living in Ireland - this is my first record of them on the 1911 census.

I cannot explain the need to get to the bottom of his story even to myself.

Once again, many many thanks for your informative and kind replies

Best regards

Anne

Hello Anne,
Yes, surviving papers are at Kew, manual searchs are frowned upon these days, they are all time consuming and often prove fruitless, moreover, that would certainly not be possible in WO363 anyway, but, sadly you may never find them, so many were lost forever.
Regards Frank
